Architectural differences

  • Modular framework replaces the legacy monolithic codebase.
  • Entity AI re-engineered: predictive algorithms track player velocity and predict intersection points (e.g., the standard Howler is fully redesigned).
  • Scrapped topological content reintegrated: the Never-Ending Tower, the Greenhouse, and the Chamber of Mass are restored to the active spawn pool.
  • Previously culled entity files restored: Bloom, Assembly, and the Vent Dweller are now active procedural spawn entries.
  • Memory leaks, collision mesh failures, and desynchronized entity pathfinding - all target of the modular rebuild.

What stays the same

  • All 24 legacy levels (Chapter 1 and Chapter 2) are ported as the foundation.
  • The cryptographic puzzle matrix (Level 7 cipher, Level 11 keypad) is preserved with the same mathematical semantics.
  • The Hospital bifurcation narrative crux is retained - Ending 1 and Ending 2 remain the two paths.
